Welcome to C&S Leggacy Farm!
We are a natural heritage micro farm in Middleton Idaho. We offer riding lessons, & camps, We raise much of our own meat, sell some small batch meats, & have lots of adorable heritage animals. We are a blended family with 9 kids between the two of us, their spouses and grandkids starting up. We love it & cherish our time together. We love to have a good time & learn. We are host to two schools on the farm: ROOTS FOLK SCHOOL offering adult classes & COYOTE WILLOW OUTDOOR COOPERATIVE kids classes.
Scott has lead multiple horse trips, pack-in hunting trips, youth training & rides. He's taught informal lessons for years and helped many propel their love of horses into horse ownership and competent riders. He's always helping someone, fixing something and looking for an opportunity to go camping. He leads horse rides in the mountains for family and hire. The horses enjoy 20 acres up in the Cascade area for half year. Both Scott & Crista enjoy horseback riding, 4 wheeling, camping and any reason to be outside or up in the mountains. He helps make happen all Crista's classes and farmy dreams.
Crista is an Idaho Master Naturalist, & Herbalist with a self-reliance and organic heirloom gardening background. Crista schedules horse riding lessons, & plans the camps. She owns & runs ROOTS FOLK SCHOOL here on the farm, a school for adults learning skills like canning, herbal medicine making. She also co-owns COYOTE WILLOW OUTDOOR COOPERATIVE, an Outdoor School for kids teaching a variety of skills and classes like: fire-building, primitive arrow building, herbal studies, arts & other natural learning. The school is here on the property as C&S Leggacy Farm as the host, which explains the tipis. The layout of much of the farm is focused on learning & activities for the schools, Roots Folk School for Adult classes and Coyote Willow Outdoor Cooperative classes for kids.
Both Crista and Scott come from large families & love family being all around especially their kids & grandkids. That's when life is sweetest.
Scott & Critsa have worked with kids in various ways for years helping them increase their skills, & gain confidence.We have varied experiences that have helped make our farm, lessons & classes what they are. We love it all. With our varied activities here on the farm we hope you feel comfortable and find something here for you!
